Dr. Galan was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated summa cum laude from St. Mary’s Honor’s Program in 1991 and from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1995. He completed 3 years of Internal Medicine Residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He was awarded “Resident of the year” in his last 2 years of training. He completed an extra year as Chief Resident in Medicine. He is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor of the school of medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and has been engaged in private practice since 1999 and joined PMA in 2001. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a member of the Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association, and Bexar County Medical Society. He speaks Spanish. He spends his free time with his family and enjoys reading, movies, exercising, and hunting.
